Goldorado Wines is crafted under the guidance of winemaker Noel Basso, a 25-year veteran of California winemaking. Raised in Fresno’s agricultural heartland and trained in enology at CSU Fresno, Noel built his career in some of the state’s most respected cellars, leading programs that span small-lot boutique productions to large-scale, heritage-driven wineries.

With deep roots in California’s farming community and a hands-on understanding of vineyard dynamics, he brings a thoughtful, vineyard-first philosophy to every vintage. Noel is known for his ability to read the nuances of each site, sourcing fruit from California’s top regions and working closely with growers to ensure optimal expression and integrity.

His commitment to balance, clarity, and authenticity guides every stage of the process—from harvest decisions and fermentation techniques to barrel selection and final blending. Under his direction, Goldorado Wines reflects the purity of the fruit, the character of each region, and a dedication to honest, unpretentious craftsmanship.
